How we started

The journey of Chariton Health Ambassadors began in early 2022 with a simple yet powerful idea—to serve humanity by making basic healthcare accessible to all, especially the poor and voiceless.

What we do?

Our core areas of intervention include

Community Medical and Surgical Outreaches

We organize periodic outreach programs that provide free medical consultations, minor surgeries, diagnostic services, and referrals to underserved populations. These outreaches often target rural areas with little or no access to healthcare services.

Health Education and Promotion

We believe that a well-informed community is a healthy one. Through health talks, community forums, and school-based programs, we empower individuals with the knowledge they need to make healthier choices and prevent disease.

Health Awareness and Campaigns

From maternal and child health, mental health, to communicable diseases, we conduct campaigns to raise awareness and reduce stigma. We also leverage radio, social media, and grassroots mobilization strategies to amplify our messages.

Disease Surveillance

Our team is engaged in community-level disease monitoring, early detection, and reporting of public health threats to local authorities, especially in hard-to-reach areas. This effort is critical in preventing outbreaks and ensuring timely intervention.

Research and Advocacy

We carry out community-based research to understand pressing health issues and inform policy and practice. Our advocacy efforts target government bodies, NGOs, and stakeholders to influence resource allocation and policy decisions that support primary healthcare.

Provision and Distribution of Health-Supporting Items

We distribute free essential items such as medications, sanitary pads, hygiene kits, mosquito nets, multivitamins, and nutritional supplements to improve health and promote dignity, especially among women, children, and the elderly.
